Essay Contest

The spirit behind the ReDistribute cause is that every one of us can have an impact on the world, if we choose to. With that in mind, we are creating an essay contest where a winner (and a friend) from EVERY state will be flown out to either the film's premiere or to the film shoot. What we want to hear from you is: How do you think one person can impact the world today?

Here are the rules:

• The essay should be titled either: "How One Person Can Change The World" or "How I Plan To Change The World"
• There is only one entry per person
• The essay must be a maximum of one page
• The essay should be submitted as either a .pdf or a .doc file
• The contest is open to students currently enrolled in k-12 or college
• It should be emailed to us at: essay@weReDistribute.org
• The contest ends on April 18, 2011
• A minimum of 50 entries is required from a state before a winner can be chosen. If 50 entries are not submitted from a particular state, than all entries from that state will be pooled with any other states with fewer than 50 entries
• One winner will be selected from this pool
• Consideration will be given to your choice between the premiere or the shoot, but it can not be guaranteed

• Travel accommodations will be determined at the discretion of the ReDistribute team.

* In the unfortunate event that the film does not actually get shot, this contest becomes null and void and there is no legal responsibility to fulfill these prizes.
