Leadership

  • Brian Ide: Producer/Director

Having grown up in Iowa, Brian Ide was very fortunate to have access to great public education. He has now lived in Los Angeles for 11 years and was motivated to create ReDistribute under his Meriwether Productions umbrella by seeing the incredible challenges that young people in urban areas face. The challenge as he saw it, was how to create a business model that was sustainable, financially beneficial to those involved while also significantly benefiting young people with limited resources. The grassroots model of ReDistribute accomplishes this. He expects to generate a substantial return for his investors while generating tens of millions of dollars for Charity. He is excited to make the first project benefit public education and is looking at focusing on medical research and treatment in 2011.

Brian has worked in many facets of the entertainment industry for 15 years. He began in the local theater in Iowa, and by the age of 22 Brian found himself commuting several hours each day to volunteer on film and commercial shoots. Years later, Brian formed Meriwether Productions, whose mission is to tell stories that inspire people's lives. Now, six years later, Brian has produced and directed a variety of successful, compelling projects, including his recent award-winning feature film, Clear Lake, WI. He is also been hired to direct Remembering Rachel and La Nouvelle Orleans in 2011. In addition to filming throughout the U.S., he has helmed projects in Jerusalem, Germany and Honduras.
